A Lavender Dream Spell
Lavender is a great herb to use if you wish to work sleep or dream magic.
It is especially good if you wish to induce a psychic dream.
Perform this spell in the evening.
To do this, you’ll need some fresh or dried lavender (both flowers and foliage), a small square of white fabric, lavender-colored ribbon, and an amethyst crystal.
First, crumble some of the lavender onto the fabric and tie into a bundle with the ribbon (this is a sachet).
Place this beneath your pillow, and set the amethyst crystal near your bed, or under your pillow, ect.
Smolder the rest of the lavender in a dish and light the herb. Scent your bedroom. As you get into bed, think of your question.
Expect a vivid dream.
If an answer isn’t revealed, wait a week and try again.

The Sacred Masculine
The Sacred Masculine
On Litha, the Midsummer Sabbat, as well as Father’s Day.
It’s a perfect day to celebrate the sacred masculine within all of us and to highlight the strong, warm, active power we all possess.
Create an altar with yellow candles, symbols of masculinity, and images of the Sun; include pictures of male relatives and admired men in your life.
Cast a circle and stand before the altar, drawing on your power and strength.
Begin by speaking your feelings to the men pictured on the altar, emphasizing the qualities you admire.
Light the yellow candles and call in the Sacred Masculine Divine (God).
When he is present, stretch your arms upward to the sky and ask him to imbue you with the qualities that you admire.
Feel that energy flow into your hands and through your Whole body and spirit, feel it mingle with your own energy.
Draw a deep breath and raise a cone of power in celebration of this masculine power in the universe and within you.
Chant, starting softly and ending very loudly:

Honoring the First Fruits
Several cultures, including the Romans, believed in the importance of honoring the first fruits in order to ensure continued abundant harvests.
Not doing so created fears of blight, lost crops, and later famine.
Sometimes the honor combined with the first harvest; sometimes it was celebrated with the first flowering.
Close to Midsummer is a good time to celebrate all that is blossoming, flowering, and abundant.
Place your favorite seasonal fruits, vegetables, and flowers in cheerfully painted pottery or in hand-crafted baskets.
Arrange these on a brightly colored cloth.
Write a blessing to celebrate the abundance that blossoms in your life.
Play your favorite instrument, dance around the offerings.
Make a libation with your favorite beverage and an offering from the pieces you’ve fathered.
Prepare a meal from what is left, and, even better, invite someone to share it.

Crystal Recharging
Crystals are an important aspect in many magical practices.
However, it is not always necessary to obtain new crystals for your workings.
When a crystal is charged to a specific working, that is its purpose until the working is completed.
The crystal may then be cleared and refocused for another working.
Gather up your crystals from completed workings and give them a bath in sea salt water, rinsing them thoroughly after the washing with fresh cold water.
Dry them with a cotton towel or allow them to air dry.
At this point, you may also wish to smudge them.
Place the cleared stones on a windowsill where they may bask in the light of the Moon for a full lunar cycle.
You may need to place them in a deeper bowl if you have helpful felines.
With the passing of the lunar cycle, your crystals are ready to be charged to new workings in your practice.

Cast your blessings upon me, your earthly child,

In Brian Froud’s Faerie Oracle, there is a wonderful card called Ilbe the Retriever, and his particular purpose is to find lost items.
After cleaning your house, place Ilbe the Retriever (a real card or one printed from a computer) nearby the last place you remember seeing the item you seek.
Light a white tea light candle, chew on some rosemary leaves, or rub rosemary oil on your temples and visualize yourself remembering and finding—even holding—the lost item!
Ilbe the Retriever can certainly help by revealing what isn’t clear oftentimes, we trick ourselves.
We get caught up with mundane matters and don’t remember details very well.
This process allows your memory to work and unseen planes to be seen again (this is one reason why you clean your house.

With the Sun in the sign ruled by the Moon (Cancer), and the Moon in the sign ruled by the Sun (Leo), today is an excellent day to do a spell to bring matters into balance and harmony.
Get a Moon symbol, such as a small mirror, and a Sun symbol, such as a yellow, silver, or gold candle.
You also need a bell, or simply clap.
Put the Moon (Goddess Symbols go on the left) and Sun (God Symbols on the right) items on opposite ends of your altar or a small table.
If you have a specific issue, name it, and consider both sides of the situation.
Meditate on various forms of balance: light and dark, cold and heat, and so forth.
Move each object halfway toward the center.
Meditate a little longer, then move the objects so they are next to each other.
Meditate on the two opposite forces joining, like the yin and yang symbol.
When you feel like the situation is more in harmony, ring the bell to end or clap three times.

For this spell, you will need a large green candle, green and black beads, and a string for making a necklace.

At the center of the altar, place a cauldron filled with iron screws, nails, and tools.
Be sure to include two keys (the amulet for both Saint Peter and Ogun).
Write a letter to Saint Peter and Ogun describing the job you desire.
Place the letter beneath your candle and light the wick.
String your beads into a necklace using this pattern:7 green beads, 7 black beads, then alternate 1 green bead and 1 black bead for 14 beads (7 of each).
Repeat the entire 28-bead pattern until you’ve achieved the desired length.
Wear this necklace day and night until you’ve secured your job.

A Witches Bottle
The Witches Bottle

This was taught to Marion by Selena Fox. The Witches Bottle is mainly designed for protection of a home or business.
This is only one way to make a Witches Bottle, there are many more.
The Witches Bottle is traditionally buried in the earth. If you live in an apartment, you may bury your bottle in a large planter and kept by the front door of your home.
Items:
•A Sturdy, clean, wide-mouthed bottle or jar like a mayo jar etcwith a tight cover
•Soil or sand from the area surrounding your home. In an apartment, you could use the soil from a potted plant.
•Something sparkly or shining, that you like; such as a mirror, crystal, sparkles, fairy dust (Or my favorite thing, Citrine)
•A rusty bent nail. You can find rusty nails around construction sites; or dig around and see what you can find.
•A piece of broken glass - *Careful not to cut yourself.*
•Dried herbs of your choice Example of some herbs are ....Sage, Rosemary, Thyme, Parsley and Mint. Garlic is also traditional. Add the herbs of your choice.
•A new penny or other coin
•(A whisker, feather or any item from all animal friends living in the home)
•(A piece of hair from all living in the home, or just the practitioner working the spell)
•A Magical working candle
To Proceed: I recommand that you do it on the first Full Moon after you move into your new place, or the Full Moon before the Summer Solstice if you already live there.
(Find the appropriate spot in your yard to bury the bottle. Work on the night of a Full Moon at the height of the Full Moon (directly over head). Or on the Full Moon right before Summer Solstice. Have all your items with you and a shovel. Use Salt to purify the space and a shaker for added umph.
Create and open sacred space. Light your working candle, and ideally allow to burn (safely) while you work. Dig the hole in the earth, try to keep the top sod in good shape to replace over the hole. Sprinkle with salt, use shaker as you see fit. Say an appropriate Bottle Spell as you fill the bottle.

Meditation Ritual to find your spirit guide
Meditation Ritual to find your spirit guide.
Enter your special place. Allow the feelings of peace, tranquility and safety to surround you. Know that you are about to embark on an important experience. Continue to feel completely relaxed and calm.
From your special place, visualize a flight of shallow, wide, white steps leading up into a soft mist. The mist surrounds the steps on either side. You may not have noticed these steps before. Whatever form your special place takes, these steps lead up from it. Walk to the foot of the stairs. Do you want to go up them?
If you feel ready, then start to climb the steps, slowly upwards, higher and higher, feeling a sense of deep peace and expectation. The mist above you is glowing softly. You may see objects or artefacts on the steps - take note of these.
You realise you are getting to the top. Now the mist is becoming thinner. You hear faint music, like distant bells or wind chimes. As you climb higher, you can hear the music more clearly. It seems to be all around you,and inside you, soft and gentle. It is like a waterfall, a rushing stream, a cascade of temple bells, yet it is still gentle, soft and silvery.
You find yourself at the top and all the mist disappears. You are in a lush meadow. The sun is shining, the grass is emerald green - all the colours you see have extra depth and beauty. Look around you and notice plants, trees and animals. The music still surrounds you and you look ahead, where a glistening waterfall cascades over rocks and runs into a clear river.
Someone is coming towards you from the direction of the waterfall. You feel a sense of warmth and recognition. this is your guide. Greet him or her,and listen attentively to anything they have to say. this is your friend, guardian and spiritual mentor. Ask him or her any questions you wish.

Enter your special place. Allow the feelings of peace, tranquility and safety to surround you. Know that you are about to embark on an important experience. Continue to feel completely relaxed and calm.
From your special place, visualize a flight of shallow, wide, white steps leading up into a soft mist. The mist surrounds the steps on either side. You may not have noticed these steps before. Whatever form your special place takes, these steps lead up from it. Walk to the foot of the stairs. Do you want to go up them?
If you feel ready, then start to climb the steps, slowly upwards, higher and higher, feeling a sense of deep peace and expectation. The mist above you is glowing softly. You may see objects or artefacts on the steps - take note of these.
You realise you are getting to the top. Now the mist is becoming thinner. You hear faint music, like distant bells or wind chimes. As you climb higher, you can hear the music more clearly. It seems to be all around you,and inside you, soft and gentle. It is like a waterfall, a rushing stream, a cascade of temple bells, yet it is still gentle, soft and silvery.
You find yourself at the top and all the mist disappears. You are in a lush meadow. The sun is shining, the grass is emerald green - all the colours you see have extra depth and beauty. Look around you and notice plants, trees and animals. The music still surrounds you and you look ahead, where a glistening waterfall cascades over rocks and runs into a clear river.
Someone is coming towards you from the direction of the waterfall. You feel a sense of warmth and recognition. this is your guide. Greet him or her,and listen attentively to anything they have to say. this is your friend, guardian and spiritual mentor. Ask him or her any questions you wish.

Grounding Mediation
Grounding Yourself
The following exercise can be performed in a number of ways, I suggest that you read the exercise through a few times and then attempt it. If you have difficulty recalling each step, you can attempt the exercise as you read along. Another effective method would be to dictate the words into a tape recorder and then play it back. You could also practice with a friend, taking turns reading the exercise to each other. After performing this grounding exercise a few times, it will become natural, and you can then play around with creating your own grounding methods and individualize grounding cord. Give yourself at least ten minutes to perform the following exercise. The more time you spend grounding, the greater the benefits.
Close your eyes, sit in a chair with your feet touching the ground, and relax. Imagine that there is a very heavy and strong rope, weighing hundreds of tons, sitting under your chair. Picture this rope and all the details. Examine the fibers. How thick are they? In what way do they twist? What is the color of the rope? Is the rope consistent all the way down in terms of shape, color, and size? How long is it? Does the thickness change from top to bottom? Smell the rope. Taste it (oops, you may need to pull out some of the prickly fibers from your tongue!). Notice that the rope is hollow inside, and this hollow is lined with very strong and slippery metal. See both ends of the rope, and notice if the rope is frayed at all or if there is a neat knot on each end. You are free to change anything about the rope that makes you doubt its strength or makes you uncomfortable.
Now, physically, pantomime picking up part of the rope. As you reach down under your chair, see yourself picking up one end.
Next, bring the end of the rope up to your first charka, at the base of your spine. With your left hand (remember, you are holding the rope in your right hand), feel the base of your spine. See your first charka at the base of your spine spinning like a washing machine.
Now you are going to insert one end of the rope into the spinning center. The knot on the rope is bigger than the charka, so once it is in there, it will not fall out. See it in there. Tug on it. If it comes out, make the knot bigger, than try again until it is secure.
Now reach under you chair again and take hold of the other end of the rope. Also under your chair is a very heavy, very large cement brick. Loop the rope around the brick. Now, at the count of three, you are going to drop this rope into the earth. It is the kind of rope that can expand as long as it wants, even millions of miles. There is no time or spatial limitations when dealing with energy and your imagination, so it only takes a millisecond to reach the center of the planet. This rope can penetrate any kind of physical matter, so even if you are at the top of a twenty-story apartment building or flying in an airplane, you will be able to ground.
Now see the rope in the center of the planet. What does the center of the planet look like? Is there molten lava? What color is it? If you are having difficulty, you can even draw a circle around the brick and write “center of the planet” with your mind. You may try tugging on the rope to see what happens to the brick. If it rises up a bit, you may want to secure it more firmly into the center of the planet. Congratulations, you have formed your grounding cord!
Now just watch this cord for a few minutes. Look at it from the top to the bottom. Notice how your body feels. Now that your cord is secure, it is time to release out of it. Since the gravity of the earth is naturally sucking all the foreign/negative energies out of you, your aura, and your cord, you don’t have to put to much effort. Just relax and see what is being released. Focus at the top of your head, and see all the black negative energy flowing downwards from your head to your neck, to your shoulders, to your arms, hands, chest, stomach, waist, legs, feet, toes, bottoms of the feet, and into your grounding cord, and then into the center of the planet.
If you feel yourself making to much of an effort, then release this down your cord. If you are becoming distracted by thoughts about other people, your work, or various problems in your life, know this is the energy that you are releasing. Visualize these distractions in the form of an image or symbol or color and see them falling down your cord into the center of the planet.
At this time, it may be a good idea to ground your aura. Imagine that the part of tour aura around your feet is melting into your grounding cord. You may need to first expand the circumference of your rope so that all of your aura can be tucked into the rope. Now postulate that all foreign energies in your aura, even from the very top of it, are effortlessly falling down through your grounding cord into the center of the planet. When you are finished, you can thank your cord for its good work and then see the cord exploding into a million pieces. Once it is fully destroyed, create a new grounding cord. Introduce yourself to this new cord and ask it to keep you secure and help you release, throughout your day.

Introduction to Grounding Mediations
Grounding Introduction.
Webster’s Vest Pocket Dictionary defines grounding as “a conductor that makes electrical connection with the earth or a framework.”
For animate and inanimate physical objects, grounding is achieved through the law of gravity. Gravity is defined in the same dictionary as “attraction of bodies towards the center of the earth.” Without gravity, we would be plummeted into space and would not be able to exist on earth. We would be unstable, like a feather caught in a cyclone.
To some extent, our physical bodies are always grounded or connected to the earth (even when flying in an airplane, we are still connected to the earth’s atmosphere by the gravitational pull; therefore, we can walk down the aisle of the plane without floating away.) But what about our energetic or spiritual bodies? Some people are more grounded than others, and our grounding, our connection with the earth, can change drastically from minute to minute. Oftentimes, when a person is experiencing stress, nervousness, pain, or extreme emotions, their spiritual body becomes ungrounded. When a person is ungrounded, even though their physical body is still attached to the earth, the rest of their energy may be all over the place. It might be soaring above their head, searching for a kinder and gentler abode; or it might be racing through whatever unfortunate person happens to be in their path.
People who lose things frequently, who become hysterical or “hyper”, who are spacey, who have trouble following directions, or who are not conscious of what they are doing or feeling are often ungrounded (don’t feel bad, these happen to everyone! Including me!) When you are ungrounded, you are much more vulnerable to becoming the effect of whatever or whoever is around you, and other people may find it difficult or annoying to be in your presence.
For example, if you are ungrounded and visit a friend who is also ungrounded and in a lousy mood, within minutes your original cheerful disposition may be replaced by your friend’s grouchiness. Or if you are ungrounded and driving, not only might you become lost, you might also become irritable as all the other drivers who are in a hurry, even though you have plenty of time to reach your destination.
The grounding of our spirits and even our physical body can be strengthened through the use of a grounding cord. This is energetic vehicle will harness your energy so that you can focus and remain calm and strong even in the face of adversity.
Let’s begin!
Picture a thousand-year-old redwood tree with enormous roots going a half mile or more deep into the earth. Do you think a strong gust of wind or an overly enthusiastic lumberjack could knock over the tree? Not likely! Could this wind capsize a ship secured into the depths of the ocean by a rope as thick as a man and an iron anchor as large as the Empire State Building? Probably not! In the same way, if your body and spirit are connected into the earth by a strong energetic cord (achieved through visualization), then when your boss unexpectedly reprimands or fires you, when a mugger jumps out at you from the bushes, you will be able to retain your calm composure and respond rather than react. If this does not seem likely, then you are probably jus not used to being grounded!
In addition to securing you to the earth and harnessing your energy, grounding is a very powerful and effective means of releasing negative energy or energy that is no longer serving you, as in the case of pain, anxiety, stress, unwanted thoughts, etc. Gravity not only pulls you towards the earth, but also everything in and around you. So your grounding cord can ground out everything and everyone that is in your body or energetic field that no longer serves you. Any worries, any emotion, any thoughts, any image, any pain, any problem, or anyone else’s energy can be immediately released through your connection to the earth.
A grounding cord can be visualized as any object. A strong rope, a column of light, a string of flowers or stars, as waterfall, as tree, etc. As long as it feels right to you. The grounding cord should be plugged into your first charka (charkas are spinning energy centers), which is located at the base of the spin. It extends and connects your to the center of the planet. In the realm of spirit, there is no time or space, so your grounding cord can instantaneously reach the center of the earth, and of course it can pass through whatever happens to be beneath you. You can ground anywhere, even from an airplane! However, grounding outside, with your feet touching the earth, is often the easiest.
While you can ground from any part of your body, I suggest grounding from your first charka because this is the energy center that actually regulates the functioning of your lower body and its connection to the physical world. It is important to realize that even though this is where the connection point is located, you can easily release energy from any point of your body or energetic field, even from the top of your head. Just imagine whatever you wish to release within yourself dislodging itself effortlessly from wherever it is located, and immediately passing through your first charka (as if that were a drain) and falling down your grounding cord until it is released into the center of the earth. Thanks to the gravitational pull of the earth, you don’t really need to exert any effort. Just let gravity suck whatever you wish to release down your cord.
Once whatever you are releasing reaches the center of the earth (which is scalding hot), it dissipates and returns to its original source, so your not polluting or hurting the earth in any way. When you release another person from your energy field, you are actually freeing their energy so it can be returned to them. You are not hurting them in any way. You may experience feelings of guilt or fear when you imagine a loved one falling down your grounding cord. These feelings have to do with breaking your former agreement to heal, carry, support, and feed that person your energy and with that person’s resistance to detaching from your field. If you do feel guilty when you release someone down your cord, then ask yourself what color might represent that feeling and visualize the color releasing down your cord as well. Also, remember that a person has no more right to be in your field than they do to touch your physical body or enter your home without your permission.
The following example will illustrate how to release a person from your energy field with the use of your grounding cord. Let’s say that you keep thinking about your boss, who is worried about meeting some deadlines. You realize that you can’t stop thinking about your boss because his energy is inside your head. Imagine that there are some trap doors at the bottom of your head. Then visualize your boss and his energy (ask yourself what color represents your boss’s energy or assign it a color, and see that color releasing so that next time you see that color, you will know whose energy it is) falling through these doors and being sucked into your grounding cord, where he continues to fall until he reaches the center of the Earth. Then see his image exploding or dissipating. If you become worried that you are hurting or irritating your boss by sending him into the fires of the earth, then visualize a color that represents the worried feeling and send it down your cord as well. Then imagine that his energy is being cleansed in the hot earth, and in your imagination watch it as it returns to his body, which you can postulate is growing happier and healthier as it fills up with his own essence.
Once you have grounded your body, it is important to make sure that your aura, or the energy field surrounding your body, is tucked into your grounding cord so that you can release whatever stubborn foreign energy may be trapped inside. This is easily accomplished by willfully tucking or inserting the entire circumference of your aura into your cord below your feet. Remember that your aura surrounds your entire body, including your head and feet. Even though the bottom of your aura is what is tucked into the cord, anything lodged in the top of your aura will be sucked downward by the gravitational pull. This is done through your imagination and intent. The more clearly you can visualize this, the more effective it will be.
You can practice grounding anytime, anywhere. I recommend practicing grounding when you are alone in mediation so you can really focus, as well as in public places so you can experience the difference. I suggest playing around with your grounding in a variety of situations, such as when dealing with a stressful family event, when attending a staff meeting, when running or doing aerobic exercise, when you are lost, and even when you are intoxicated!
When performing grounding the first times, you may want to do it alone in a quiet place so you can feel free to release any emotions that may come up. Some people like to ground themselves in the car. While this is very helpful to be grounded when driving, you should be cautious because visualizing any of your psychic tools does take some concentration that will pull your attention away from anything else you are doing at that moment, which obviously can be dangerous when driving. Also, sometimes grounding may cause you to feel sleepy due to the various energies you are releasing, and this could cause further problems when driving.

Gravity is defined in the same dictionary as “attraction of bodies towards the center of the earth.” Without gravity, we would be plummeted into space and would not be able to exist on earth. We would be unstable, like a feather caught in a cyclone.
To some extent, our physical bodies are always grounded or connected to the earth (even when flying in an airplane, we are still connected to the earth’s atmosphere by the gravitational pull; therefore, we can walk down the aisle of the plane without floating away.) But what about our energetic or spiritual bodies? Some people are more grounded than others, and our grounding, our connection with the earth, can change drastically from minute to minute. Oftentimes, when a person is experiencing stress, nervousness, pain, or extreme emotions, their spiritual body becomes ungrounded. When a person is ungrounded, even though their physical body is still attached to the earth, the rest of their energy may be all over the place. It might be soaring above their head, searching for a kinder and gentler abode; or it might be racing through whatever unfortunate person happens to be in their path.
People who lose things frequently, who become hysterical or “hyper”, who are spacey, who have trouble following directions, or who are not conscious of what they are doing or feeling are often ungrounded (don’t feel bad, these happen to everyone! Including me!) When you are ungrounded, you are much more vulnerable to becoming the effect of whatever or whoever is around you, and other people may find it difficult or annoying to be in your presence.
For example, if you are ungrounded and visit a friend who is also ungrounded and in a lousy mood, within minutes your original cheerful disposition may be replaced by your friend’s grouchiness. Or if you are ungrounded and driving, not only might you become lost, you might also become irritable as all the other drivers who are in a hurry, even though you have plenty of time to reach your destination.
The grounding of our spirits and even our physical body can be strengthened through the use of a grounding cord. This is energetic vehicle will harness your energy so that you can focus and remain calm and strong even in the face of adversity.

Picture a thousand-year-old redwood tree with enormous roots going a half mile or more deep into the earth. Do you think a strong gust of wind or an overly enthusiastic lumberjack could knock over the tree? Not likely! Could this wind capsize a ship secured into the depths of the ocean by a rope as thick as a man and an iron anchor as large as the Empire State Building? Probably not! In the same way, if your body and spirit are connected into the earth by a strong energetic cord (achieved through visualization), then when your boss unexpectedly reprimands or fires you, when a mugger jumps out at you from the bushes, you will be able to retain your calm composure and respond rather than react. If this does not seem likely, then you are probably jus not used to being grounded!
In addition to securing you to the earth and harnessing your energy, grounding is a very powerful and effective means of releasing negative energy or energy that is no longer serving you, as in the case of pain, anxiety, stress, unwanted thoughts, etc. Gravity not only pulls you towards the earth, but also everything in and around you. So your grounding cord can ground out everything and everyone that is in your body or energetic field that no longer serves you. Any worries, any emotion, any thoughts, any image, any pain, any problem, or anyone else’s energy can be immediately released through your connection to the earth.
A grounding cord can be visualized as any object. A strong rope, a column of light, a string of flowers or stars, as waterfall, as tree, etc. As long as it feels right to you. The grounding cord should be plugged into your first charka (charkas are spinning energy centers), which is located at the base of the spin. It extends and connects your to the center of the planet. In the realm of spirit, there is no time or space, so your grounding cord can instantaneously reach the center of the earth, and of course it can pass through whatever happens to be beneath you. You can ground anywhere, even from an airplane! However, grounding outside, with your feet touching the earth, is often the easiest.
While you can ground from any part of your body, I suggest grounding from your first charka because this is the energy center that actually regulates the functioning of your lower body and its connection to the physical world. It is important to realize that even though this is where the connection point is located, you can easily release energy from any point of your body or energetic field, even from the top of your head. Just imagine whatever you wish to release within yourself dislodging itself effortlessly from wherever it is located, and immediately passing through your first charka (as if that were a drain) and falling down your grounding cord until it is released into the center of the earth. Thanks to the gravitational pull of the earth, you don’t really need to exert any effort. Just let gravity suck whatever you wish to release down your cord.
Once whatever you are releasing reaches the center of the earth (which is scalding hot), it dissipates and returns to its original source, so your not polluting or hurting the earth in any way. When you release another person from your energy field, you are actually freeing their energy so it can be returned to them. You are not hurting them in any way. You may experience feelings of guilt or fear when you imagine a loved one falling down your grounding cord. These feelings have to do with breaking your former agreement to heal, carry, support, and feed that person your energy and with that person’s resistance to detaching from your field. If you do feel guilty when you release someone down your cord, then ask yourself what color might represent that feeling and visualize the color releasing down your cord as well. Also, remember that a person has no more right to be in your field than they do to touch your physical body or enter your home without your permission.
The following example will illustrate how to release a person from your energy field with the use of your grounding cord. Let’s say that you keep thinking about your boss, who is worried about meeting some deadlines. You realize that you can’t stop thinking about your boss because his energy is inside your head. Imagine that there are some trap doors at the bottom of your head. Then visualize your boss and his energy (ask yourself what color represents your boss’s energy or assign it a color, and see that color releasing so that next time you see that color, you will know whose energy it is) falling through these doors and being sucked into your grounding cord, where he continues to fall until he reaches the center of the Earth. Then see his image exploding or dissipating. If you become worried that you are hurting or irritating your boss by sending him into the fires of the earth, then visualize a color that represents the worried feeling and send it down your cord as well. Then imagine that his energy is being cleansed in the hot earth, and in your imagination watch it as it returns to his body, which you can postulate is growing happier and healthier as it fills up with his own essence.
Once you have grounded your body, it is important to make sure that your aura, or the energy field surrounding your body, is tucked into your grounding cord so that you can release whatever stubborn foreign energy may be trapped inside. This is easily accomplished by willfully tucking or inserting the entire circumference of your aura into your cord below your feet. Remember that your aura surrounds your entire body, including your head and feet. Even though the bottom of your aura is what is tucked into the cord, anything lodged in the top of your aura will be sucked downward by the gravitational pull. This is done through your imagination and intent. The more clearly you can visualize this, the more effective it will be.
You can practice grounding anytime, anywhere. I recommend practicing grounding when you are alone in mediation so you can really focus, as well as in public places so you can experience the difference. I suggest playing around with your grounding in a variety of situations, such as when dealing with a stressful family event, when attending a staff meeting, when running or doing aerobic exercise, when you are lost, and even when you are intoxicated!
